Virginia Woolf’s Three Guineas is a manifesto for women's education and economic independence as a foundation of social equity and justice.  Three gold coins philanthropic choice.  Would she choose to give a guinea to build a woman’s college? Support an organization for promoting women's employment in the professions?  Or, make a gift to prevent war and protect intellectual liberty?

Written in 1938, Three Guineas themes resonate in a contemporary global context.  Catherine Muther founded the Three Guineas Fund in 1994 to direct her philanthropy toward social equity by investing in opportunity for women and girls.  The Fund’s projects and programs support educating girls, and creating livelihoods as paths toward social and economic equity.

Three Guineas Fund is a private 501(c) 3 foundation.
